In honor of the holidays, supervert.com will give away a prize a day — either a copy of Extraterrestrial Sex Fetish or BLAM! 1 . Enter now to win. (Sorry, contest is over!)

The Canadian literary review subTerrain reviews Extraterrestrial Sex Fetish in its current "Prudery and Perversion" issue (print only). See ETSF Reviews for more info.

The old Necro Enema Amalgamated web site has been taken down. The former url necroenema.com now points to the NEA section of supervert.com.

Sex Lingo was reprogrammed to solve errors occurring on Windows XP and OS X. Thank you to bluejade.net for some ingenious help!

New Host, Design Updates

2002.11.01

Supervert.com is migrating to a new web host. If you experience any difficulties connecting to the site, please try again later. Sometimes it can take a few days for DNS changes to propagate throughout the web.

In accord with the move to a new host, some design changes have been made — there's a new search engine, and design improvements that ought especially to affect that straggling ten percent of visitors who still use Netscape.

More Sade, More Art, More Press

2002.10.01

Another exclusive Supervert ebook: Iwan Bloch's Marquis de Sade: His Life and Work, the first biography of the Marquis de Sade, has been added to the Sade elibrary.

Supervert has contributed an essay titled "John Currin's Nudes" to the latest issue of the chi-chi art magazine Parkett. Out of respect for Parkett's sales and copyright, the essay won't be added to supervert.com until next year — so if you want to read it now, head over to amazon.com and buy it. (Alternatively, you can read online Boomerang, a text Supervert wrote about Currin a few years back.)

The latest issue of Sex and Guts Magazine lauds Extraterrestrial Sex Fetish as "one of the most astonishing books to come out in years," a "must-read." See ETSF reviews for complete details!

Reviews of Extraterrestrial Sex Fetish

2002.09.01

Several nice reviews of Extraterrestrial Sex Fetish appeared this month. The most perceptive and interesting was Annalee Newitz's review in her syndicated Techsploitation column, which appeared in the San Francisco Bay Guardian, Silicon Valley Metro, and on alternet.org.

The Weekly Alibi, the alternative newsweekly of Albuquerque NM, also reviewed ETSF, as did Clamor Magazine in its September/October issue. See ETSF reviews for complete details!

Book Distribution Deal

2002.08.01

Supervert is proud to announce the completion of a book distribution deal with SPD/Small Press Distribution. You can now order Extraterrestrial Sex Fetish through SPD's web site, or you can also order by calling SPD's toll-free number, 800-869-7553.

(In addition, you can still order Extraterrestrial Sex Fetish from amazon.com and direct from Supervert.)

Rudolf Schwarzkogler

2002.07.01

Supervert's electronic library has added a section dedicated to the work of the late Viennese artist Rudolf Schwarzkogler. The new content includes texts for unperformed aktions and a Flash viewer that displays the series of photographs documenting four of Schwarzkogler's performances.

The Absinthe Literary Review calls Extraterrestrial Sex Fetish "brilliant" in the most perceptive review of the book to date.

The Danish Broadcasting Corporation did a radio show on Extraterrestrial Sex Fetish. (The DBC web site has a RealAudio stream of the show, which was in Danish.)

And a forthcoming book, Context Providers, discusses BLAM!.

Web Press

2002.06.01

Supervert was all over the web this month. Thanks largely to a front-page mention on memepool.com, Sex Lingo got bombarded with so many hits that Supervert had to double the traffic allowance on its hosting plan!

On that note, it costs Supervert a fair amount of money to provide all this scintillating content — for free — so why not buy a copy of Extraterrestrial Sex Fetish to show your support?

Zombiegirls.net reviews Extraterrestrial Sex Fetish this month, calling it "a thought-provoking and interesting work" reminiscent of Burroughs and Cronenberg. Yellow Rat Bastard also reviews Extraterrestrial Sex Fetish in its current issue. See the reviews page for more info.

Misc Updates

2002.05.01

In its current issue, Exquisite Corpse calls Extraterrestrial Sex Fetish a "crazy cyber paranormal sex book... Heralded as a kind of 2001: A Space Sodomy."

Reorganized Extraterrestrial Sex Fetish section. Added link to old Wired review of BLAM!2 to the Web Press section. Added link to artist Paula Hayes' web site to Supervert's review of her work.

Supervert Electronic Library

2002.04.01

Supervert is proud to announce a new content area on supervert.com: the Supervert Electronic Library. The eLibrary will provide digitizations of high-quality literary and philosophical texts, many of which have hitherto been unavailable on the web. The eLibrary begins with two texts by Supervert's patron saint — er, patron sinner? — the Marquis de Sade, and also Expressionist poetry by Gottfried Benn.

New Site Design

2002.02.01

Supervert.com has been redesigned from the ground up. The guiding principles of this makeover were minimalism, elegance, simplicity, clarity, and — above all — usability.

Users should find the site extremely easy to navigate, print, bookmark, and share with others. If you have comments or suggestions, please feel free to contact Supervert.

Sex Lingo — New Shockwave!

2002.01.01

Supervert proudly presents Sex Lingo, an illustrated database of sex-related slang!

This raunchy 1993 interview with Necro Enema Amalgamated (i.e. Supervert and Swensonia) was just posted on the web as part of a series of interviews with web and "cyberspace" pioneers.

Minor site modifications: Revised mission statement. Some redesignd pages. And the Anti-Sex-Crime Database has been discontinued to make way for Sex Lingo.

Good Porn

Supervert does not make porn but the pervy nature of its work leads people to look for it here. So if you want babes or whatever, this is good porn.
